   Check for N-Gage application

 


If you see the N-Gage icon in your menu and it starts the N-Gage application, you already have everything you need. So go ahead and check out the great games in the Showroom.
 
If a video teaser starts when you click on the N-Gage icon, or if there is not an N-Gage icon in your menu, you need to download the N-Gage application by following the instructions below.
 

  

 

   Check your device version

N-Gage compatible devices are released in regional-specific variants. Unfortunately, the N-Gage application is not currently certified with all regional variants. Even if you are able to install the N-Gage application on an unsupported regional variant, purchase or activation function will only work on certified variants.

To determine which regional variant you have, please follow the instructions below:

1. Switch your device display to standby mode as shown in Figure 1 below.
2. Enter * # 0000 #  on your device as shown in figure 2.
3. View your hardware and software version numbers on your device display as shown in Figure 3.
4. Confirm your hardware and software are N-Gage compatible in the table below the three screens.

   Backup and restore your data

If you are installing the N-Gage application for the first time, you may safely skip this step, although you might want to back up your data as a precaution.
 
If you are updating the N-Gage application, we recommend you follow these instructions to Backup and Restore your data before continuing. Do not uninstall your existing N-Gage application, or you may lose data. Install the new application on top of the existing installation.
 
 

   Download the N-Gage application

1. Check your version and backup your data as described in the steps above.
 
2. Click here to download the current version of the N-Gage application to your PC.
 
3. Transfer the application to your phone using one of the following instruction methods:
            PC Suite Mode or Mass Storage Mode (for Macs and PCs without PC Suite)
 
4. Install N-Gage on your device following the on-screen instructions.

Usage of the N-Gage application is governed by certain terms and conditions, which each user must agree to upon registration and adhere to during their use of the software.

N-Gage services are network-dependent and require network support. In order to be able to use these services, you must ensure that your service provider supports data traffic delivery (GPRS) and that you have subscribed to a GPRS service, or that you have access to a WLAN (wireless network). Some networks have limitations that may affect your ability to use the services. Check with your mobile service provider for more information.
